InnoEx 2025 – Science Fair and Inter-School Tech Carnival
Tamilnadu Engineers Forum (TEF), Kuwait, in collaboration with Indians in Kuwait (IIK), successfully organized InnoEx 2025 – Science Fair and Inter-School Tech Carnival on Friday, November 7th, at Al-Zumerida Hall, Salwa. The event served as a dynamic platform for young innovators to showcase their creativity and technical prowess, reaffirming TEF’s commitment to nurturing scientific curiosity among students.
Under the inspiring theme “Innovation Begins Here,” this year’s edition witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 400 students representing 20 schools across Kuwait, making it one of the country’s largest inter-school science and technology events.
A major highlight of the event was the presence of Ms. Nigar Shaji, Project Director of Aditya L1’s “Flight towards the Sun” mission at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), who graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Fondly known as the “Sunny Lady of Space Research,” Ms. Shaji’s remarkable journey and accomplishments deeply inspired the young participants to pursue excellence in science and technology.
The day began with registration at 7:30 AM, followed by project and poster setups. The formal inauguration commenced with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Ms. Shaji, joined by TEF President Eng. Raja, General Secretary Eng. Balasubramanian, and IIK Director Mr. Sunoj. The session began with the national anthems of Kuwait and India, a Thirukkural recitation, and a Safety Moment.
Eng. Periyasamy, Joint Secretary of TEF, delivered the Welcome Address, extending gratitude to all participants, schools, and event sponsors.
In her keynote address, Ms. Shaji shared valuable insights into India’s space exploration journey and emphasized the importance of fostering scientific inquiry among students. Dignitaries and guests were later felicitated on stage.
Following the inauguration, judges evaluated the projects as the inter-school competitions commenced. A series of intellectually stimulating contests - including Working Models, Rubik’s Cube Challenge, Poster Making, Quiz, Robotic Football, and Sudoku - kept the young minds engaged throughout the day, encouraging teamwork and problem-solving skills.
A special presentation by National Geographic captivated the audience with its engaging insights on science and exploration. Judges were also recognized for their valuable contributions to the event’s success.
The event concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony, honoring the exceptional achievements of participating students and schools. The InnoEx Rolling Trophy for 2025 was awarded to FAIPS-DPS School, crowned as the Overall Champion of the event.
The day came to a close with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Eng. Kapil, who expressed sincere appreciation to all the guests, schools, sponsors, participants, and attendees for their invaluable contributions in making the event a remarkable success.
InnoEx 2025 once again underscored TEF Kuwait’s dedication to fostering innovation, promoting scientific excellence, and creating a collaborative platform where young learners can explore, innovate, and express their technological creativity.
