1. Composition of the Forum

1.1       The Forum shall be the umbrella organization of Kuwait Chapters of Alumni Associations of all the Engineering Colleges that are existing as of 1.4.2000 and that are likely to come in future, located in Tamil Nadu, duly approved by Government of Tamil Nadu and All India Council for Technical Education. The Forum acknowledges the successful completion of Part A and Part B Examinations conducted by The Institution of Engineers India, as equivalent to an Engineering Degree. The Forum acknowledges the higher education offered by Madras Institute of Technology under the title "DMIT" or "B.Tech" as Engineering Degree. The Forum acknowledges the B.Arch and Bachelor of Interior Design as Engineering Degrees. Forum shall accept membership from the candidates who fulfill the requirement of a degree from one of the Colleges stated above. In case of a member who does not belong to any one of the Institutions mentioned above, the executive committee shall decide to offer the membership, after careful evaluation of the background of the College, location, affiliation of statutory bodies. Forum acknowledges the candidates for membership from candidates who are ethnic Tamilian, educated elsewhere outside Tamil Nadu, whose permanent address is in Tamil Nadu. Special memberships shall be offered to candidates who has a high level of contribution for Tamil and Engineering Community by way of his research, political position and or personal popularity.

13. Other Universities which are in existence at present in Tamil Nadu. 

2. Aims and Objectives

1. Forum shall promote personal and professional interaction between the members, based on mutual respect and professionalism.

2. Forum shall work towards obtaining registration with Indian Embassy in Kuwait, for the sake of the Forum and or constituent Association.

3. Forum shall work towards getting individual registration of members in Kuwait Society of Engineers.

4. Forum shall create fraternity of the families and to create a floor for the "Forum Children" to exhibit their talents and develop friendships on a wider base.

5. Forum will act as the spokesperson for the members in matters of common interests.

6. Forum shall act as the conduit for channeling any and all contributions of the Forum members' intellectual, technical, financial or otherwise, to the State of Tamil Nadu and State of Kuwait.

7. Forum shall strive to enhance technical education in the State of Tamil Nadu by all possible means.

8. Forum shall work towards providing employment opportunities of jobless members and new comers from Tamil Nadu from any of the listed Institutions.

9. Forum shall provide guidance to educate the children of members for higher education in India and or elsewhere.

10. Forum shall work towards providing computer education to all members and members' children in Kuwait.

11. Forum shall work towards providing lower cost for Internet connection in Kuwait.

12. Forum shall work towards providing all possible financial investment, real estate and banking advises through experts for Forum members.

13. Forum shall maintain a website for its exclusive purpose and all information needed shall be piped through the website.

14. Forum shall maintain an email address for its communication with members.

15. Forum shall plan and conduct seminars on topics which are of interest in common.

16. Forum shall conduct social get together functions in designated auditorium such as music, drama, artists, scientists, acknowledged film stars, performing artists, singers, public speakers for members and their family. Such personalities shall be brought from India or elsewhere for entertainment of Forum members and their families.

17. Forum shall bring out Souvenirs and publications which are technical and commercial in nature. The revenue collected from the entertainment shows, souvenirs, publications etc., shall be utilized only for the purpose of Forum members' purposes. Such revenues can not be utilized for any other business activities, purchases and or investments on behalf of Forum.

18. Forum shall donate for needy after careful consideration of financial position of that year.

19. Forum shall institute a scholarship scheme for the poor and needy college students studying in Engineering College in Tamil Nadu.

20. Forum shall recognize and address each member as Engineer with a prefix "Eng." in their name.
